Himesh Reshammiya-Neha Kakkar react to Shoojit Sircar's statement.
Pink director Shoojit Sircar's tweet demanding a ban on reality shows involving kids took the internet by storm. Recently, he took to Twitter to request the authorities to ban reality shows involving kids. "Humble request to authorities to urgently ban all reality shows involving children, it’s actually destroying them emotionally & their purity," tweeted the filmmaker.
Now at the press conference of Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs, the show's judges Himesh Reshammiya and Neha Kakkar reacted on the same. Neha said, "I respect Shoojit Ji's statement on kids' reality show but I feel that this is a great grooming ground for kids and will only help them grow." While Himesh said, "No one has forced these kids to participate, their parents are well aware as well. It's completely their call; we love these kids." Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has recently been topping charts. Recently, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Sohail Khan who was on a promoting spree for their upcoming movie Tubelight were the celebrity guests on Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. The brother duo was seen in great spirits mingling with the mentors Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar and Javed Ali and contestants!
The episode started with quite a bang! While all the contestants packed in scintillating performances one after the other, it was Li’l Champ Riya Biswas from Kolkata who left the Dabangg superstar speechless with her vocal abilities. The tiny singing prodigy brought the house down as she sang the famous number ‘Dil Deewana’ from Salman Khan’s debut movie ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’. Not only was the superstar floored by Riya’s marvellous performance and gave her the most cherished compliment of her life. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan, who was left awe-struck, compared Li’l Champ Riya with the living legend Lata Mangeshkar. He said, “Riya, your style of singing reminds me of Lata di. Had she been here, she would have been so proud to hear you sing this song so effortlessly”. The Lil Champ is forgiven for floating away on to cloud nine and celebrating.
