Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla are all set to tie the knot on June 21, 2018, in Shimla. Abhinav revealed in an interview that it was Rubina's idea to come up with a biodegradable wedding card along with a sapling.
Shakti... Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki's Rubina Dilaik, who is amongst the leading stars of Television, is all set to tie the knot with beau Abhinav Shukla. The couple will be getting married on June 21, 2018, in Shimla.
Despite her hectic schedule, Rubina is looking into the minutest of details when it comes to her special day, especially her wedding card which is going to be biodegradable and comes along with a sapling.
Talking about the special wedding card, Abhinav told TOI, "It’s Ruby’s (as he fondly calls her) idea. She came up with the invite, which resonates with us and is symbolic of our love. The plant we have chosen isn’t demanding. It requires a spoonful of water a week."
"True love nurtures and nourishes the soul. With this thought, we wanted to gift ‘a life’ to our friends to mark the beginning of our new journey and thank them for being with us through thick and thin. The love is not only for people, we both love nature as well and hence, this invite is organic and totally biodegradable. The cards are made of medium-density fibreboard wood and recycled paper. We want to encourage people to keep weddings fun and nature-friendly," Abhinav added.
Now, that is a sweet gesture, indeed!
