Ravi Dubey: My dad treated everyone when he first saw me on TV

Ravi Dubey has been in the industry for more than a decade. As an artist, he enjoys taking up different shows and loves to explore new territories. Ravi rose to fame with Jamai Raja and fans love him. In a conversation with Times Of India, he told that his father was very happy when he saw the actor's first commercial.
Ravi said, "I was always inclined towards acting, but my father wanted me to have a backup in case I failed there. I pursued my inclination in the entertainment industry parallelly with engineering. One day my dad was at a Gurgaon restaurant, watching the second season of Amitabh Bachchan’s Kaun Banega Crorepati, completely unaware about my new pursuit."
"He was stupefied when he saw me on a TV commercial and immeddiately called me. To my pleasant surprise, he was very happy. That day, he had ordered food for everyone at every table and spent around Rs 50,000 while I had earned Rs 10,000 for it (the commercial)," added the actor.
Talking about the bond he shares with his father, he said, "We share a very special bond. He’s very proud of me and that makes me really happy. Even today, I don’t discuss my work with him and let him watch it and talks about it to each person he meets. It feels good."
He started his journey in showbiz playing the parallel lead in Stree... Teri Kahaani. He followed it up with a string of successful fiction shows such as Ranbir Rano, 12/24 Karol Bagh, Saas Bina Sasural, Jamai Raja, and Khatron Ke Khiladi and also tried his hand at non-fiction shows including Nach Baliye and Comedy Circus.
