Rati Pandey opens up about onscreen son Lakshya Lalwani's mega break in Karan Johar's Dostana 2

Lakshya Lalwani who is best known for his roles in TV series such as Porus, Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil, Humari Adhuri Kahani will soon mark his Bollywood debut with none other than Karan Johar's Dostana 2. He will be sharing screen space with Janhvi Kapoor and Kartik Aryan. The filmmaker took to his social media to make the announcement. And now, Rati Pandey, who played his on-screen mother in TV serial Porus, is very proud of his accomplishment.

In an interview with Times of India, Rati said that she is extremely proud of him. She also said that she even messaged and congratulated him. She stated, "It is a really proud moment for all of us for the entire team who has worked with him. Lots of love and luck to him." She also said that he is an extremely dedicated and professional actor and is someone who takes work seriously.

Ever since the announcement of Lakshya is the second lead in Dostana 2, social media has been abuzz about who he is and Karan Johar went on record and said that he has been selected after auditions. Karan stated that Lakshya has no film connection and thanked casting director Shanoo Sharma for discovering him. He tweeted, "Yes I woke up to several inquiries asking about his film industry connections!!! He is NOT from the business and went through a legit audition process!! Am grateful to Shanoo Sharma for introducing LAKSHYA to @DharmaMovies.”
