Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa look ethereal as they tie the knot in Rajasthani and Bengali weddings; See Pics
Sushmita Sen's brother Rajeev Sen and TV actress Charu Asopa are now man and wife. After a court marriage, which took place a few days back, the couple tied the knot twice in Goa. They got married as per Rajasthani and Bengali traditions.
Sushmita Sen's brother Rajeev Sen and TV actress Charu Asopa are now man and wife. After a court marriage, which took place a few days back, the couple tied the knot twice in Goa. They got married as per Rajasthani and Bengali traditions and the same took place on June 16. Sushmita, boyfriend Rohman Shawl and daughters Rene and Alisah were part of the celebrations. Apart from the Sen family, bride Charu Asopa's, family and friends from the Television industry also attended their wedding.
The couple started off the pre-wedding ceremonies with Christian style engagement party on Friday. Later, sangeet and haldi ceremonies were also held and pictures and videos are doing rounds on the internet.
Speaking of weddings, for the Rajasthani wedding, Charu was seen wearing crimson red lehenga and she accessorized her look with a heavy traditional necklace, nose ring and matha patti. For Bengali wedding too they followed the same colour combination but opted for traditional ensembles. On the other hand, Rajeev Sen was seen sporting an off-white sherwani with a turban and shawl. Speaking of Charu, she became a household name when she played a role in TV series called Mere Angne Mein. She made her relationship with Sushmita Sen's brother official at the start of the year. She has featured in many popular TV series such as Baal Veer, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, Chhanchhan and Diya Aur Baati Hum among others.
In an old interview with Bombay Times, Charu had said, "I feel proud of myself for the way I emerged from that break-up(she was earlier in a relationship with Neeraj Malviya). And now, my life has taken a new turn. I had stopped thinking about love, but Rajeev entered my life like a breath of fresh air.
