Boycott Kapil Sharma Show trends after Navjot Singh Sidhu's comments on Pulwama terror attack

The deadly attack on Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, claimed more than 40 lives of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and many other were injured, leaving the nation in agony. On Thursday, terrorists used an IED blast to attack a convoy of CRPF jawans near the Srinagar and Jammu highway. The attack is touted to be the worst ever on our security personnel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a reaction today has assured the citizens that a befitting reply will follow and that the lives of the jawans won’t go in vain. 

In the wake of the attacks, Shabani Azmi and Javed Akhtar announced their withdrawal from the Karachi literature festival. Amidst this, Navjot Singh Sidhu, who serves as a Minister in the Punjab Assembly and is seen as a host on The Kapil Sharma Show was quoted saying, “For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished." His words did not go down well with Twitterati who in response demanded to boycott The Kapil Sharma Show. 

The trolls are even asking Kapil to expel Navjot from the show. We will have to wait and see how Kapil reacts to this. Meanwhile, Pulwama attack has shocked the nation again. In the wake of it, India has withdrawn the most favoured nation status from Pakistan.
