Pulwama Terror Attack: Sanaya Irani, Drashti Dhami, celebs condemn the terrorist act on CRPF personnel

In what can be called as the deadliest attack on the security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir, at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officers lost their lives, while many others were injured. The attack took place in the Awantipora region in Pulwama district when convoys of the CRPF personnel were on their way near the Srinagar-Jammu highway. The terrorists rammed their car in to the CRPF bus, and the car is suspected to have about 350 kgs of explosives. 

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warned the terrorist organizations of the befitting reply to this cowardly act, our television celebrities too have joined the nation in mourning the loss and demand action against this. From Surbhi Jyoti, Surbhi Chandna, Sanaya Irani, Drashti Dhami to Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya, Hina Khan, Parth Samthaan, Nakuul Mehta, Gauahar Khan and more, everyone has taken to their respective social media accounts to offer their condolences to the bereaved families.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be visiting Srinagar today to take stock of the situation. PM Modi has assured the nation that the security personnel have been given the freedom to act as they think befits. Moreover, India has called upon the United Nations to declare Jaish-E-Mohammed, the terror group behind the attack, as a terror organization. In the aftermath of the attack, India has withdrawn the 'Most Favoured Nation' status given to Pakistan. Pakistan, however, has denied any involvement in the attack. Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has called upon everyone to stand united at this time of grief.
