Pehredaar Piya Ki has been indeed the most controversial show in the history of Indian Television, and a show that gained a lot of popularity due to criticism and negative remarks. There was a petition filed by the viewers to ban the show, but except the change in the serial's time slot, nothing really happened. But what shocked the entire audience and fraternity was Sony TV's sudden decision to pull off the show overnight without even informing the cast of the show.
The sudden decision has shocked everybody, but the makers of the show Pehredaar Piya Ki have promised to come back with the same cast but a different story this time.
Annoyed with the incessant controversies, the producers Shashi and Sumeet Mittal axed the show after coming to an agreement with the channel. In place, they are planning to bring another show with a much safer content, as per a report in a leading tabloid. Shashi Mittal revealed, "We are in the process of writing the show. We want a prime time slot and don't want to get into another controversy this time."
Talking about pulling the plug on their most controversial show, Mittal said, "We had written the show keeping the prime time audience in mind. After the show was pushed to 10.30 pm slot, we realised that it was not garnering the response we wanted. So we decided to pull it off air."
Well, we are looking forward to seeing what's up next and how controversial is the new show going to turn out to be.
