There were rumours that Baby Doll singer Kanika Kapoor has been ousted as the judge on music reality show Om Shanti Om due to her sudden absence from the shoot. But the singer has clarified in a statement to Pinkvilla that she is very much a part of the show and was away for one episode only.

Om Shanti Om airs on Star Bharat and is judged by yoga guru Baba Ramdev, Bollyood actress Sonakshi Sinha, music director Shekhar Ravjiani and Kanika Kapoor. There was speculation after Kanika's absence that music composer duo Sachin-Jigar will replace her and that veteran playback singer Udit Narayan had also been approached for the show to judge it in place of her. But it seems Sachin-Jigar filled in for us temporarily and won't take her place in Om Shanti Om.

Kanika Kapoor has denied the same, saying, "I was away for one episode for personal reasons. However, I am really missing Om Shanti Om and the shoots and I will be back from the next episode onwards."

Om Shanti Om is a music reality show that focuses on devotional music only and has 14 contestants. The makers had reportedly said that if Kanika doesn't return soon, she will be replaced by Sachin-Jigar. It seems Kanika is on her way back and will join the crew soon.
