Nakuul Mehta is currently seen as Shivaansh Singh Oberoi in Ishqbaaaz and while he continues to have the initials of SSO, the original character and the ensemble cast continue to be missed by the fans. Nonetheless, the show has been doing well with the audiences, and NitiTaylo'rs entry has brought about new twists and turns in the track. However, one can't forget that Niti is about 12 years younger than Nakuul, and while they do look great on-screen, the difference remains a highlight and also raises a question in the minds of many.

And talking about it, Nakuul smartly quipped how as an artist one is not playing himself but the character and given the fact he is the go-to guy for romance as far as Indian television goes, he can romance anyone aged between 16 to 86. Meanwhile, when the generation leap first took place, the actor had his own reservations about continuing the show and to this he said how he believes that the show is bigger than the actors and irrespective of the fact that he plays the lead or not, the show will always be a huge part of him and vice versa.
