The news of Ishqbaaaz going off-air has been doing the rounds for the longest time. However, the show with Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna as the lead has been running successfully despite all these rumours.
According to recent reports, Star Plus is apparently planning to revamp its content and is hence planning to pull the plug on a few shows including Naamkarann and Ishqbaaaz.
However, in an interview to an entertainment portal, Surbhi, in particular, refuted the rumours and asked the fans to just live in the moment. Surbhi further added that these rumours have been around from the beginning of the show but nothing has happened and that every show has its fate and complete the duration it is meant to be. She further urged fans to not get bogged down because of such rumours.
On the other hand, Nakuul said, "My job is to act and that is what I do. I come to the sets, read my screenplay and I act. And of course, a lot of things are spoken about, and if I pay heed to those things then I won't enjoy my work. When you tell me I also take it with a pinch of salt, I feel we are doing well, and what is stored ahead is very interesting. I think people are going to love it, and there is no reason why you will not watch more of us."

Earlier, when a leading online portal contacted producer Gul Khan and asked her the same, she answered, "This is the fifth time, I am hearing this rumour. It comes up every six months."
She further added, "I think IB (Ishqbaaaz) actors are the most popular in the TV industry today! They wouldn’t get affected by these rumours. They all are fabulous in their own way and deserve to enjoy this happiness without being constantly heckled with such rumours."
Gul Khan even thanked the audience for giving such a positive response and loving the show. She said, "My message to the fans is that it’s amazing to have you’ll. You bring so much joy and love in our lives and I can’t possibly thank you enough for your constant faith."
