Nach Baliye 9 Highlights: Rochelle Rao & Keith Sequeira become the first couple to get eliminated

The 9^th season of one of the most loved dance reality shows Nach Baliye premiered on 19^th July with a big bang. This year the judge panel includes the gorgeous Raveena Tandon and the perfectionist, Ahmed Khan. While Manish Paul was originally the only host, he was joined by the beautiful Waluscha De Sousa last week. After days of practicing hard, the contestants are all set to bring their best forward. 21:30: It is revealed that Nityaami is advised not to dance as she hurt her knee during their first performance. Shantanu Maheshwari and Nityaami Shirke still come to the stage to perform, while the latter is in a wheelchair. Watching Shantanu perform is an absolute delight while Nityaami’s amazing expressions make up for her not being able to dance. Talking about the act, Raveena says how moral support and love is what life is all about and wishes Nityaami a speedy recovery. She also tells their Shantanu and Nityaami’s choreographers that they expect more. Ahmed also says that you could have done a lot more with a wheelchair, so please buckle up. They receive an average score of 65%.

21:10: Tulsi Kumar sings the song ‘Main tera ban jaunga’ and ex couple Vishal Aditya Singh and Madhurima Tuli groove to it on the judges’ request. Nora and Tulsi then perform on O Saki Saki and sign off. Next, Manish invites Vindu Dara Singh and Dina Umarova to the stage for their act. They shake a leg on the party track ‘Tamma tamma’ as school kids. Ahmed calls the act very interesting and applauds their timing while Raveena says she found their chemistry cute but felt energy was less. They are awarded an average score of 77.5 from the judges.

21:00: Shraddha and Alam’s performance is like a thriller film. They dance on the song ‘Tujhe kitna chahne lage hum’ with amazing lifts and it sure left us with goosebumps. The couple get a HI 5 even before the judges give their reviews. Ahmed is especially impressed with Alam and Raveena also praises him for mind-blowing lip syncing. Manish then reveals that the couple say they are together but media claims that they are exes. Shraddha clarifies that its just a misunderstanding because the actress never announced her relationship status on social media.

20:50: Aly and Natasa’s performance was pretty dramatic which left the judges impressed. Raveena was blown away while Ahmed said it felt like he was watching a Bollywood movie. The participants hilariously reveal that they fought the night before and Natasa hit Aly with a sandwich. When the scores are to be announced, the judges give the couple a HI 5. Nora is then invited to the stage for a face off on O Saki Saki and the girls set fire to the stage once again. The next jodi to perform is Shraddha Arya and Alam Makkar.

20:40: Judges bid farewell to Rochelle and Keith. Co-host Waluscha De Sousa then invites Nora Fatehi, who shows off her belly dancing skills on the hit track Dilbar. Singer Tulsi Kumar then sings her famous track Sheher Ki Ladki from Sonakshi Sinha's film Khandaani Shafakhana. The judges have a gala time grooving to the tunes. Aly Goni and Natasa Stankovik are then called to the stage. They perform on Nora’s latest song O Saki Saki.

20:20: Manish announces names of jodis who are unsafe: Urvashi Dholakia and Anuj Sachdeva and Rochelle Rao and Keith Sequeira. Urvashi and Anuj shake a leg on the song ‘Janam Janam’ and leave the audience awestruck with a graceful performance and a huge twist in the end. Next come Rochelle and Keith who dance on the beautiful track ‘Aankhon mein teri’ and in between their act, interact with the judges. The pairs are then called to the stage and it is announced that the jodi who receives a lower score, will get eliminated. Rochelle and Keith receive 80.5% while Urvashi and Anuj get 85.5%.

20:10: The judges entered with full swag on the song ‘Kisi disco mein jaayein’. Host Manish then announced that elimination will be called a farewell. A new masked jodi then performed on the song ‘Jab tak jahan mein’ from Shah Rukh Khan’s fil Zero. The jodi is revealed to be Kasautii Zindagii Kay's lead pair Anurag and Prerna, aka Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes, who stun the audience with their beautiful chemistry. Host Manish welcomes them with a ‘Puja ki thaali’. The couple are asked by the judges who they can replace, and Erica sweetly replies, “Ek ek karke sabko.” OG Komolika Urvashi Dholakia walks in and gets into a funny banter with the two. However, Parth and Erica then announce that they are not here to participate but hand over an envelope to Manish with a twist.
