Naa Aana Is Desh Laado to be back after 5 long years.
Naa Aana Is Des Laado was a very popular show on Colors and went on to become a cult show which portrayed the life of women in India. It showed and spoke about sensitive topics like female infanticide and honor killings which was quite often practiced by Indians and somewhere still are.
The season one showed some really dark but true things about how gender bias took place and how women were treated so badly. Meghna Malik played Amma Ji and legit captured a lot of attention with her intense performance is now all set to be back in season 2 and a completely different perception this time. Avika Gor too will be seen in Laado 2. We asked Amma Ji aka Meghna Malik a couple of questions on her return with Ladoo 2. Here's an excerpt:
As this show is coming after 5 long years, was getting back into character a tough or an easy transformation?
The show is coming back after 5 years, but it's new and has a fresh take on Ammaji’s character. I am still searching for my character. As the show proceeds, the path will become clear for me as well. The transformation will happen naturally and slowly.
Laado was one of the greatest shows on television, you were loved by the fans! Do you feel any pressure in playing this Iconic role again?
As a matter of fact, there is always pressure in the kind of industry we are attached to. However, Laado2 will see a fresh take on Ammaji’s character. The pressure is more on the writer than me.
Well, it's good to see the show coming back on TV and this time with an opposite take on the society.
