Mushtaq Sheikh accused of sexual harassment by Rahul Singh; says he told him to sleep with him to keep the job
TV actor Rahul Raj Singh has accused screenwriter Mushtaq Sheikh of sexually harassing him. He also told how he ultimately lost his job because he refused to sleep with him. He has now filed a complaint regarding the same.
Shocking revelations come to light with every passing day, and the Me Too movement takes yet another turn as now, TV actor Rahul Raj Singh as accused screenwrite Mushtaq Sheikh of sexually harassing him. The actor has filed a complaint against Mushtaq and told a daily how he molested him multiple times and promised him roles in return. Rahul Raj Singh is the first male survivor to come out in the open and talk about his story of sexual harassment.
The actor mentioned how he tried to make sexual advances at him not once but multiple times, and upon being rejected, he ruined his career. Rahul Raj had last made it to the headlines when he was arrested for abetting the suicide of his actor girlfriend, Pratyusha Banerjee. The actor is however, currently out on bail. Talking about the incident, Rahul said how he has been a part of the industry for 10 long years and that the way that women have come out in the open about their stories, it inspired him to do the same.
Narrating the story of how he came across him, Rahul stated that he met him after he was awarded the Grasim Mr India model in 2004. Post that, he told how Mushtaq was rather impressed with him, and that made him happy because he thought that he will now get work. He then further said how Mushtaq told him that he has a project for him and that he should meet him after work hours. Rahul further narrated that though he did not want to judge him on the basis of his sexual preferences, he started calling him late at 3-4 in the night.

Narrating an incident Rahul told the daily how he (Mushtaq) once took him to his house with a single room and a bed, filled with film posters. He further said that Mushtaq told him that he is going to do something to him and he will enjoy it. He further told him that it will be different, but he will like it. He said that after this statement of his, he was scared. He then explained how he lost the film when he refused to give in.
He further said how he never really stopped haunting him. Later, when Rahul was chosen for not one but two consecutive shows, titled Amber Dhara and Mata Ki Chowki (both associations of Mushtaq), he again asked him to sleep with him so he could keep his job, however, he refused and gradually, his character was written out of the show.
He further added how he had yet another encounter with Mushtaq and he asked him to meet him for a drive. He then said how while the two were on a drive in Aarey Milk Colony, he suddenly grabbed his head towards him and began to unbutton him.
He also stated how he used to earn 3-4 lakh per month those days and that after he quit, he was answerable to friends and family. He then said how he told the same thing 10 years ago, and that when he told his mother how he was reluctant on telling his story, she told him how he is a real man and that real men don't hide the truth.
Rahul's then roommate, and now producer, Asif Ali also told the daily how he does remember reading the chats where he was being sexually harassed, however, he doesn't remember the name now.
