The Me Too movement has everyone speaking up and this time around, actress Mouni Roy talked about how it is high time that women speak against the harassment they have faced in their lives. She also went on to question as to when will they talk about it if not now? She also said how she hopes that the moment doesn’t fizzle out like so many similar such issues in the past.

"I think they should take their matter to court but it will only happen when you will talk about the present situation because there are some cases which has happened so many years ago that there is no proof or evidence left to get due justice. I think any one whether it's a man or a woman who is going through any kind of harassment should come out and talk about it because that is very important."

She further added how it is not just the film industry that has been affected. She said, "Not just the film industry, I genuinely feel that little children including boys and girls in our neighbourhood or sometimes in our families, they go through similar kind of harassment that they can't talk about it. I just hope and pray that this campaign doesn't fizzle out because sometimes certain issues catch momentum in our country and unfortunately after few days, no one even talks or thinks about it."

“I stood willingly and gladly in the characters of everything - other people, trees, clouds. And this is what I learned, that the world's otherness is antidote to confusion - that standing within this otherness - the beauty and the mystery of the world, out in the fields or deep inside books - can re-dignify the worst-stung heart.” Mary Oliver

She said to her CREATOR loud & clear ,”loving me would not be easy , there ll always be conflict. I shall hold the riffle and hand you the bullet” ... He replied, “ Breathe lil one , I shall embrace you in all your beauty of the massacre you create for yourself “ ..... #GibberishIsMyGift #loonyrandomthoughts

During the interaction at the event, Mouni also narrated her own eve-teasing experience from back when she was in Delhi. She said, “I think we have all experienced eve-teasing as a child. I have studied in Delhi and I have been petrified every evening that I have walked out on the streets. I have personally experienced the fear of walking out and being eve-teased or being looked at badly. "I used to be a person who used to be scared to talk about it because unfortunately, our society is such that they point fingers on girls only so, I think it takes lot of guts within yourself to talk about it in public so, I appreciate the fact that so many women are speaking about their issues."

Mouni is currently gearing up for her next with Rajkummar Rao, titled Made In China. Talking about the experience, she said, “I think by far its one of the most favourite sets that I have been on. It was an enriching experience working with entire cast and crew of the film. Rajkummar is brilliant. He is such a superlative actor. Most of the time, your co-actor will tell you whether you are doing right or wrong in a scene but he will tell you how to enhance a particular scene that is something I learned a lot while working with him so, I am having great experience shooting that film."

In the film, Mouni will be seen playing the role of Rajkummar’s wife, who is a struggler. With the movie, Mikhil Musale will make is directorial debut. Made In China is slated to release on Independence Day next year.
