Mohit Raina is all geared up for his next show titled 21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897. The show will air on Discovery Jeet and will see Mohit portray the role of Havildar Ishar Singh. The handsome actor impressed everyone with his first look and his fans can't wait to watch the show.

Before 21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897, Mohit's stint as Lord Shiva in Devon Ke Dev Mahadev made him the household name and people still remember him for that role. After a sabbatical of one year, Mohit is back with this show.

When asked about the break by a leading daily, Mohit stated, "As an actor, you have to realise everything will not go your way always. You won’t get the same adulation for every role. I have to see what I am working on. It can’t always be about the money. I want something more than that. You have to wait for the right role and when it comes your way, you dive into it totally. I like to try new roles. If you succeed then well and good, if not, at least people will see the effort you put in."

Talking about his transformation for 21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897, Raina said, "When you get a chance to play the role of a lifetime, you don’t think about putting on or losing weight. Transforming yourself to look like your role is a huge part which helps you act better."

He also spoke about keeping off from the city life and shooting for the show in Amgaon, near Nagpur, Maharashtra. Mohit said, "It’s fun staying on location. We have a bunch of good-looking Sardars and we jam together on set. It also gets boring a bit as there is nothing to do post 8 pm and no social life. I try to visit Mumbai every 10 days."

When asked about his full-bearded look, the handsome actor said, "I have a full-grown beard and it took me a while to realise how to take care of it, to oil it well and clean it too. It gets tricky when you eat something. This is the first time in my life that I have a proper beard. Usually, I only have had stubble. But it’s been fun as it is different. Maybe post the show, I will style my beard in different ways."

Apart from his amazing performances, Mohit is also in the news for his rumoured relationship with Mouni Roy. He has been calling her a good friend lately. When asked about this sudden change, the actor said, "I was always asked questions (about her) and I have always been lowkey and I don’t like to talk about my personal life. People do want to know more (about his life) and I ended up sharing something. We are good friends."
