Mohit Raina to do a TV show on Battle of Saragarhi?
Mohit Raina has been approached for Abhimanyu Singh's Battle of Saragarhi.
When we think of Mohit Raina, the first glimpse that comes to our mind is his Lord Shiva avatar from the show, Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev. His fans have been waiting for the handsome actor to make a comeback on the tube with a new show.
Now, as per a leading daily, Mohit will be seen playing the role of Ishar Singh in Abhimanyu Singh's Battle of Saragarhi. A couple of movies are set to be made on this subject and it will be interesting to see it on the small screen.
The plot of the show will be revolved around 1897's Battle of Saragarhi, which took place between the British Indian Army and Afghan Orakzai tribesmen.
Moreover, there have been reports of Mohit being approached for the second season of Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev, where he will again play Lord Shiva.
Mohit was last seen as the grown up King Ashoka in the show, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat. The show went off air and failed to impress the viewers.
Earlier, during an interaction with a leading daily, Mohit spilled the beans as to what went wrong with Ashoka and why it didn't impress the audience. “That role was a challenge as Siddharth Nigam had already established a strong connection with viewers. He is talented enough to give anyone a run for their money. Also, I entered the show during IPL -a time when many avoid a new project or doing anything big. I still managed to sustain for two months and the character became popular. I wasn't completely rejected, but I agree that the project didn't work in my favour. I could have easily avoided the show."
