London Diaries: Vivek Dahiya is on a theatre spree; Divyanka Tripathi enjoys shooting for Ye Hai Mohabbatein
While Divyanka and Vivek are stealing some romantic time for each other amidst their hectic schedule, Vivek, who had studied at Cardiff University, is revisiting his college days and is on a theatre spree.
The entire crew of Star Plus' popular show Ye Hai Mohabbatein is currently in London shooting and enjoying the sunny weather there. Their Instagram accounts are filled with pictures from their outing and it is enough to make you envious. While Divyanka and Vivek are stealing some romantic time for each other amidst their hectic schedule, Vivek, who had studied at Cardiff University, is revisiting his college days and is on a theatre spree.
About that, the actor said, "I've watched Lion King and Kinky Boots already and there are another two plays already on my list to watch in the next few days. I was part of a poetry club as well as theatre in my college days but I don't think I've appreciated theatre as much till recently. The musical plays I've recently watched have completely changed my perception of theatre. The actors one stage are entertaining, singing, dancing and expressing in front of a live audience for 2.5 hours and that too with so much perfection! The grandeur of these plays along with the teamwork required is remarkable!"
About his conversation with a local, Vivek added, "Someone I met in London in a conversation regarding theatre said, 'Its supposed to change you' and I realized it surely has done that for me!"
Interestingly, theatre lovers celebrated World Theatre Day on March 27.
Meanwhile, the Kavach actor recently was on a serious mission to create awareness for a special cause. Appalled by the growing number of ambulance delays in the country, Vivek had shared a footage of an ambulance trying to find its way to the hospital but the commuters don't find it important enough to make way.
About this, he said, "I did not randomly wake up one day & decide to shoot a video. I had been thinking about it for a while now after a recent travel where I witnessed an accident abroad but the ambulances arrived right on time & the spot cleared the mess in less than 10 minutes & I'm not even exaggerating here. I cannot fathom the mindsets of the drivers rather regular offenders who don't make way for an ambulance. I believe there is no special arrangement made. In a population like ours, we've forgotten to value life. We actors have some decent following & they believe in us & like to follow what we believe in too. I'm not being an optimist & expecting a change overnight but in the least, if I can send across a message to the people who follow me, I'm sure they can pass it on & try to bring about a change. However small, I'm happy to do my bit as a responsible citizen"
