Kunal Verma to do Paresh Rawal's next TV production
Kunal Verma will be now seen in a new show.
Kunal Verma who was last seen in Color's Dil Se Dil Tak has apparently signed up Bollywood's comedy expert Paresh Rawal's next Television production. Paresh Rawal has earlier produced shows like Laagi Tujhse Lagan and Mrs. Pammi Pyarelal on Colors, Teen Bahuraniyaan on Zee TV, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan on Sahara TV.
Kunal Verma will be playing the lead role and the show will revolve around the victory of good over evil.
Speaking of Kunal Verma he recently got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Puja Banerjee on August 16. The duo had kept it a closed-door affair with friends and family gracing the event. The duo met on the sets of their show Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna and since then been together.
Talking to us earlier, Kunal had spilled the beans about their marriage plans, life post engagement and more.
You got engaged to Puja after dating her for 9 years. How does it feel?
Finally, I am engaged. I am actually feeling irritated seeing my ring finger as I am not used to wearing solitaire. It is hurting my hand, have already got two-three scratches. I asked Puja to get its edge smoothen because I am not used to it. I even asked her if I can take this thing out but she was like no no...then I asked my mom, she told me to wear it in front of Puja and then remove it (laughs). This is the only difference I see, otherwise, everything is same. We are still the same but it is just that the relationship becomes a bit deeper. I am liking it, it's been just a day.
Your engagement was a private affair. Do you intend to do the same with your marriage?
(laughs) It wasn't private as many barged in. Pooja and I wanted it to be private because we don't like all that extravagance. But then I was like it's okay, we are actors we can't really have it completely private. We are glad everybody loved it.
So, when do you guys finally plan to get hitched?
We wanted to get married as early as possible but because of some astrology and pundits, it is not happening soon. Puja is a Bengali Brahmin, a pundit in her native place advised her to not get married in 2018, so 2019 will be the year. We are waiting for that time. We were keen to get hitched earlier but then we have to listen to our elders and her father said that don't do it for a while or in December 2018, we can think about it.
