Sunil Grover is undoubtedly one of the biggest and talented comedians we have in our country. The comedian-actor will be making his TV comeback with his show Kanpur Wale Khuranas wherein he will be seen tickling our funny bones with his impeccable comic timing. Joining him on the show are Ali Asgar, Upasana, Sugandha Mishra, among others. Kunal Khemu was earlier supposed to turn host for the show but he opted out last minute as his dates were to clash with that  of his movie Kalank which stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha in pivotal roles. Aparshakti Khurana was then brought onboard for the same.

In an interview with DNA, Kunal opened up about why he opted out of the show. He said, “There were a lot of things happening even while I was getting into it. I knew that the dates for Kalank’s climax shoot might be around the same time as it was planned. There are a lot of actors involved in the scene, so that couldn’t be shifted. I also realised that television has a fixed schedule and unfortunately, we couldn’t work around the dates. I am shooting for Kalank from December 14 till the end of this month. I’m happy the makers found Aparshakti (Khurana) to host the programme."

He added, "I’ve known Preeti and Neeti Simoes (producers of the show) for a long time and they suggested we should do something together, but TV is a big commitment for me. This limited edition series of 16 episodes was perfect, but it eventually didn’t work out. We are still hoping we can find something in the future. I wish everyone involved with the show the very best and look forward to watching it soon.”

The promos for Kanpur Wale Khuranas are OUT and the first guests to have come to visit this mad family are Ranveer Singh, Rohit Shetty and others. The show will start airing on Star Plus from December 15 on Saturday and Sunday.
