KumKum Bhagya's spin off show Kundali Bhagya gets a grand opening
Kundali Bhagya opens on a good note.
Zee TV's latest fiction show ‘Kundali Bhagya’, a spin off show of Kumkum Bhagya, narrating the story of Pragya’s two sisters Preeta and Shrishti, has opened up to a very promising viewership. The show has garnered the highest opening for a weekday fiction show not only in 2017 but also since 2016 with 5796 TVTs @ HSM-Urban & 9860 TVTs @ HSM and second only to Zee TV’s immensely popular show Kumkum Bhagya which clocked in 10305 TVTs in HSM in week 28’17. After the success of Pavitra Rishta, Jodha Akhbar, Kumkum Bhagya and Brahmarakshas, Zee TV in association with Balaji Telefilms have presented yet another winning series with Kundali Bhagya.
Kundali Bhagya narrates a story which originates from the multi-layered narrative of KumKum Bhagya and its underlying sub-plots which are told from different perspectives and varied lenses. Apart from capturing the journey of Pragya's long lost sisters once they land in Mumbai to reunite with mother Sarla, the show introduces audiences to an affluent Punjabi family - the Luthras and explores the dynamics of Preeta and Shrishti with the Luthra grandsons Rishabh and Karan Luthra. Rishabh Luthra the elder son owns a celebrity management firm and the younger brother Karan Luthra is a star cricketer. The journey of sparks that will fly when the paths of Preeta, Rishabh, Karan and Srishti intersect will form the crux of ‘Kundali Bhagya’.
Zee TV's fiction line-up is growing from strength to strength as Kumkum Bhagya retains its number one position with 10305 TVTs @ HSM and 6639 Avg TVTs @ Urban-HSM (wk average: wk 23’ 17 to 28’ 17), the channel clearly on its way to rule the weekday primetime. Kundali Bhagya has actors like Dheeraj Dhoopar, Shraddha Arya, Anjum Fakih and Manit Joura playing the main leads.
