Sony TV pulls off its controversial show Pehredaar Piya Ki following I&B Ministry's intervention

Sony Tv's controversial show Pehredaar Piya Ki has finally been shown the exit door by the channel. The show which made headlines for its controversial and regressive content has been pulled off after the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting led by Smriti Irani intervened in the matter. 
This is perhaps the first time in the history of Indian Television that a show has been pulled off by the Government.

Sony TV's popular show Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi might have gone off air but the show left a mark of its own with its unconventional content.

There have been incessant speculations about the fate of The Kapil Sharma Show after back to back episodes got canceled and the shooting of a couple of episodes got stalled. Many celebrity guests came on the sets only to realize that the host Kapil himself was unavailable.
The channel spokesperson said in an interview to a daily, “Kapil has been under the weather for some time now. Due to which, we have mutually agreed to take a short break. However once Kapil has recovered completely, we will start shooting once again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery."
