Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati season 9 finally gets its first crorepati. Jamshedpur's Anamika Majumdar is KBC 9's first contestant to win the crorepati title and amount. Anamika Majumdar was on the hot seat while her mother in law was sitting in the audience.
A source close to the development revealed: "She (Anamika) took a risk without a lifeline, her mother in law was against her taking the risk but she proved herself and won."
The source mentioned about her victory and also added, "It was only her practical knowledge and the logical reasoning behind every answer."
KBC 9's first crorepati Anamika Majumdar is a social worker and married with two kids. She runs an NGO called Faith In India - Female Aura. Anamika will invest her winning amount in her NGO that works for rural areas of Jharkhand
The episode will air tomorrow on Sony TV and India will see KBC 9's first crorepati. Speaking about Kaun Banega Crorepati recently world champion PV Sindhu too graced the hot seat and Amitabh Bachchan along with the audience was in awe of her.
A source close to the development told a leading tabloid "Sindhu also told the audience that she took up the sport because of her father, PV Ramana, a former volleyball player and Arjuna awardee, who wanted her to make a name for herself and not as part of a team."
"Before leaving, Sindhu also gifted Big B a racquet and he asked her to autograph it for him, promising to frame it for his living room."
