Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: Here's how Hina Khan's Komolika will be DIFFERENT from the original
Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay is all set to return to the small screen. Reportedly, Hina Khan will play the role of the iconic vamp Komolika in the remake.
Kasautii Zindagii Kay, which was one of the most loved shows on the national television, is now all set for a comeback. The original version starred Shweta Tiwari as Prerna, Cezanne Khan as Anurag, and Urvashi Dholakia as the iconic vamp Komolika. With her portrayal of Komolika, Urvashi had set new standards for vamps on the Indian television.
Buzz is that television diva Hina Khan has been roped in to step into the shoes of Komolika in the remake of the show. The actor revealed that she was approached, but has neither confirmed nor denied the reports, and had said, "Let’s wait for the official announcement." Even Ekta Kapoor had tweeted that there is only one person in her mind who is fit for the role of Komolika, and that, she has already been approached.
As we all know, Urvashi Dholakia's Komolika had her own theme of wardrobe and was famous for it. But what made the character even popular was the different creative versions of the bindi on her forehead. The over the top attire and makeup, along with the signature bindi, made for the perfect Komolika, and her image is still etched in the minds of the people.
Now, as per a latest report in DNA, Hina Khan's Komolika, instead of different kinds of bindi, will be seen wearing a wide variety of earrings. Hina had proved it in the Bigg Boss house that she can carry any outfit and jewellery with ease, and hence, it will be exciting to see her sporting different and creative earrings in every episode of the upcoming show.
As reported earlier, Erica Fernandes will be seen playing Prerna, the female protagonist of the show. The promo has already been released featuring Erica as Prerna. However, there is still a mystery regarding who will essay the role of Anurag, the male protagonist of the show. Rumours suggest that Parth Samthaan will be playing the character, however, there is no official confirmation yet.
