Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2: Erica Fernandes steps into the shoes of Prerna; shoots for the promo

It’s confirmed. Erica Fernandes will be seen stepping into the shoes of the iconic character Prerna played by none other than Shweta Tiwari in the remake of Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The actor, last seen in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, has already begun shooting for the promo of the show. 

We came across the first look of Erica from the promo shoot and her uncanny resemblance to Shweta will leave you surprised. Donning a black Indian dress with a red dupatta flying all around, the makers are recreating the iconic song soaring our excitement level.

While it is still not clear who the male lead for the show is, the show is all set to go on air in August. Names of Shaheer Sheikh, Angad Bedi, Mohit Raina were coming in for playing Anurag’s role, but Mohit and Angad have clearly refuted the rumours. 

Later, it was known that Shaheer has reportedly given his nod for another show wherein he will play the historical character of Salim. 

Kasautii Zindagii Kay revolved around the love story of Prerna and Anurag who could never become one due to several circumstances. Theirs was a story of unconditional love, sacrifice and much more. The main villain on the show was none other than Kamolika which was played by Urvashi Dholakia.
