Kasautii Zindagi Kay is all set to return to the small screen after ten long years. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the show has recorded one of the highest TRPs on the Indian television. Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi fame Erica Fernandes has been locked in to step into the shoes of the female protagonist Prerna. However, there is no official announcement about the male protagonist Anurag Basu, and rumours about actors roped in for the role keep cropping up every day.

Given the popularity and the rumours surrounding the show, fans have already started creating memes about it, even before it actually went on air. Some of these memes were even noticed by Erica and Ekta, and they could not keep themselves from sharing them.

There have been a lot of speculations regarding who will play Anurag on the show. Many names have come up including Barun Sobti, Ssharad Malhotra, and Shaheer Sheikh, however, Ekta refuted all these rumours with a single tweet stating that these actors are too old to play Anurag.

Now, as per latest reports, Parth Samthaan has been finalised to play the role of Anurag Basu on the show. 

Also, there are reports that Hina Khan will be seen playing the iconic villain Komolika, which was played by Urvashi Dholakia in the original. She has neither confirmed nor denied the reports, instead, she asked her fans to wait for the official confirmation.

However, until now, there is no official statement regarding the characters Anurag or Komolika.
