Kasauti Zindagii Kay 2: Shaheer Sheikh to play the role of Anurag Basu in Ekta Kapoor's show?
The Czarina of television, Ekta Kapoor is all set to bring back one of the most popular shows Kasauti Zindagii Kay on the tube. Reports have it, she has approached Shaheer Sheikh to play one of the leads.
A lot of reports are making the rounds about the cast of Ekta Kapoor's upcoming show Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2 which is returning to the tube after a decade.
First, it was reported that Erica Fernandes who hit to fame with Sony TV's Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi fame might be a part of the show. But when an entertainment portal quizzed her about the same, she stated, "Oh no! that's completely not true. Having said that, it's great to know that Kasautii is making a comeback, as it was a really nice show. If I sign something, I would break the news myself. Until then, I am just going to travel around the globe and explore."
Now, as per another portal, Shaheer Sheikh, who played the lead in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi opposite Erica might play the role of Cezanne Khan in Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2. Reports have it, Shaheer was the first actor to get a call from Ekta to be cast as one of the leads in the show.
Recently, during a Twitter session, a fan asked Shaheer, "Hero there is news about this starplus show u comng bck with..pls clear kar do uss bare main" To which Shaheer replied, "It was a pilot. Not signed anything till now."
This reply of the actor excited many of his fans as it hinted towards Kasauti Zindagi Kay 2.
Talking about Ekta producing Kasauti Zindagii Kay 2, a couple of weeks ago, she surprised everyone when she shared a cryptic post on her Instagram. The Czarina of TV shared a quote which said, "But I love you, I love and I am incapable of unloving you."
She captioned the post saying, "With a piece of my broken heart I wrote in 2001 ...17 years later I ‘ reboot’ it dipping it in personal pain and lacing it with experiences of an older me! Bringing back my most successful love saga that ran for 9 years!!! Again I’ll take my broken heart n make it into art!!! #namestobeannounced #waitfortheannouncement"
