Karishma Tanna on supernatural shows like Naagin 3: I wouldn't say it's regressive

Karishma Tanna, who is currently playing the lead in Naagin 3, talks about her mantra of being content in the industry. She shared her views about the supernatural and fantasy genre and talked about her upcoming show.

Karishma Tanna is currently seen in the third instalment of the popular serial Naagin. The actor will also be seen in the upcoming fantasy thriller Qayamat Ki Raat. 

Talking about her journey in the television industry, Karishma called it an amazing ride. She told IANS, "What I have loved about it is that I have done different shows and I get to play different characters which I really love and challenging... I have become much more evolved in the industry.

She said that she has become much smarter and has understood life more closely. She also said that she has learned the art of being content in the industry because people tend to lose balance sometimes if they are shaky in the industry.

She said, "How do you maintain your balance and how you try to be content, happy, satisfied positive is a big deal .... is what the industry teaches you."

Karishma will portray the role of Gauri in the show Qayamat Ki Raat, which will have a high dose of romance, lust, and vengeance.

Talking about it, she exclaimed that she is very happy to bag it. She said that 2018 looks very promising for her and that she is thrilled and excited about the audience's reaction.

Talking about the supernatural and fantasy genre, Karishma said, "I wouldn't say it's regressive but I would say that's the kind of shows which are entertaining the audience right now. At the end of the day, everyone is making business here. Everybody is trying to entertain the masses and that's what every producer is doing... We don't believe in all this, I agree but that's what the audience wants and that's what you get."

When asked about whether she is happy with the content shown on the small screen these days, she said that she was not attracted to the stories that she was offered, and hence, was missing from the television for a long time. She said that if the story is not appealing, then she wouldn't act. 

She added, "Now I have come back on TV because the content which I have been offered is really nice and interesting. That's why I am doing the kind of shows I am doing."
