Priyanka Chopra is leaving no stone unturned to promote Shonali Bose’s The Sky Is Pink co-starring Farhan Akhtar, Rohit Saraf and Zaira Wasim. Ever since our desi girl has landed on Indian soil, she has been hopping from one reality show to another, from one city to another for the films promotion, and in the latest, when PeeCee reached the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show, the actress revealed few interesting details from her big fat wedding that took place in Jodhpur in December.
We all know that just days before her wedding, Priyanka was shooting for The Sky Is Pink in New Delhi and since she was busy with work, Nick’s family flew down to oversee the preprations. “They flew down to India 10 days before the wedding to help with the preparations so that I could fulfill work commitments. In fact, Nick even fetched cylinders at one time,” informed Priyanka. Not just this, PeeCee shared that during the jaimala ceremony, when Priyanka’s brother lifted her up, as we normally do during Hindu weddings, the Jonas family mistook it for a call to fight “Nick’s family felt like they had to act. So they lifted him up and started pushing in,” revealed Priyanka.
Well, thanks to Kapil Sharma, we got several details about the wedding which otherwise would have remained a secret. Talking about The Sky Is Pink, directed by Shonali Bose, The Sky Is Pink is based on the journey of a young author and motivational speaker named Aisha Chaudhary, who passed away at the age of 18 due to severe illness. The Sky Is Pink revolves around her struggle with illness and how her parents - Niren Chaudhary and Aditi Chaudhary, played by Farhan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas respectively - coped with the situation.
