The Kapil Sharma Show to go off air, The Drama Company to take over?
The Kapil Sharma Show to go off air for a while as The Drama Company will take over the 9 pm slot.
2k17 has shaped up to not be a good year for comedian Kapil Sharma. In 2016, everything looked up for Kapil with immense success his way but after his feud with ex-co-star Sunil Grover, things have taken a tumble for the worst.
In the recent months, Kapil's health has been deteriorating quite often which has led to him cancelling shoots of The Kapil Sharma Show. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn were left waiting to guest star on Kapil's show but the comedian's health took a toll on him everytime.
Now, according to a leading daily, Sony Entertainment Television has sought to make some drastic changes as The Kapil Sharma Show will be going off air temporarily. While one would think that they would broadcast the old episodes of TKSS, the channel has instead decided to make some programming changed instead.
The official spokesperson of the channel told the daily, "Kapil has been under the weather for sometime now. Due to which, we have mutually agreed to take a short break. However once Kapil has recovered completely, we will start shooting once again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery."
The Drama Company will be replacing Kapil's show for the 9 pm timeslot whereas Super Dancer will take the 8 pm slot which was earlier slated for The Drama Company.
Once, Kapil recovers from his illness then TKSS might just get the 10 pm slot.
