Jennifer Winget was to make her Bollywood debut opposite director Kunal Kohli in the film, Phir Se. The film that was completed in 2015 did not release because of copyright issues. There were also issues with the script. However, the film has released online.
About the film, Jennifer had said a couple of years ago, “Do you know that I did a couple films as a child? But Phir Se is my first film as a leading lady. It’s such a cute film with a terrific role for me. I couldn’t have hoped for anything better. Neither Kunal nor I have to pretend to be younger or older. So that immediately puts us in a comfortable zone. We need that kind of confidence because we are both making our debut. It’s scary and at the same time exciting.”
