Narrating her story to an entertainment portal, Jasmin said that it happened 5 years ago when she was a model. She said that she had to meet a casting director and the agency had informed her about the director auditioning for his next film. She further narrated that she went to meet him since the meeting was fixed and she could sense something wrong with the way he spoke. She further said that his very first question to her was to what extent could she go to become an actress and what would she do to become one.
Being rather naive, she said that she told him what more could she do after having left her city and her home and struggling here. She then said that it was only later that she realized that she wasn't understanding the question.
She further said that the director then asked her to take off her clothes because he wanted to know how she would look in a bikini. She said how she did not know how to fight such a question and went on to tell him that she wasn't in the best possible shape to flaunt a two piece and that her character brief was different. She said that having told this to him, she left telling that her agency would get back to him.
Talking about sexual harassment does exist and that one needs to be strong, she said that one can't deny it exists. She further said that girls should know how to work on their own conditions and not trust someone they don't know. She also said that one needs to be courageous and that this is the right time to take a stand. She concluded saying that she is happy that this is happening.
