Avinash Sachdev is officially divorced from Shamalee Desai. The two married in 2015 after falling in love on the sets of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?...Ek Baar Phir.
Television actor Avinash Sachdev who was seen in pivotal roles in daily soap Chotti Bahu and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?... Ek Baar Phir is officially a single man now. The actor was married to Shalmalee Desai and the duo has finally been granted a divorce after the procedure was completed.
Avinash confirmed the news to us but added that that the divorce was granted last year itself and he doesn't understand why the news has broken today.
Avinash and Shalmalee fell in love on the sets of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?... Ek Baar Phir and had got hitched in the year 2015 but soon filed for a mutual divorce due to compatibility issue. Shalmalee now stays with her mother.
Apart from the above-mentioned shows, Avinash has also starred in reality shows like Dance India Dance (Season 1) and Comedy Circus.
Earlier, speaking about his relationship with Shalmalee, Avinash had said, "I don't have a clue about what's happening in my marriage. Our families have been trying for a patch-up, but there has been no progress so far. I want to focus only on my work for now. I don't know if Shalmalee and I will get back together or we will separate forever. I am hoping that whatever happens, will happen in our best interests."
Avinash is currently on a sabbatical from work.
