Hina Khan was awarded for the Best Entertainer for Reality Show Bigg Boss. Karan Patel, who plays the perfect husband and son in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has received Best Actor (Male) - Television.
The Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award 2018 were held in Mumbai last night. The award is given to an individual from the entertainment industry who has given outstanding contribution towards the growth and development of Indian cinema or television.
Hina Khan was awarded for the Best Entertainer for Reality Show Bigg Boss. Speaking about her interest in fashion, Hina recently said, "Fashion is about expressing your identity, showing someone who you are through your fashion choices and using your clothes to tell someone something about you. I suppose for some people clothing is just about comfort or utility, but for me it’s about expressing myself.”
She also spoke about the limitations she faced whilst playing a quintessential TV bahu. "As a television bahu, you do have limitations when it comes to experimenting with fashion. But that’s part and parcel of the show. When I was playing a bahu on screen, my experiments though limited were inclined more towards Indian. Now I can experiment a lot more. I have always loved dressing up, which girl doesn’t? With Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss, audiences have now started seeing the way I actually like to dress.”
Karan Patel, who plays the perfect husband and son in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has received Best Actor (Male) - Television.
Vikas Gupta was given the Break Through Artist Of The Year award. Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary, who are head over heels in love with each other, were awarded with Best Couple of the Year award. Rohan Mehra was given People's Choice Award. Sumona Chakravarti recieved Best Comic Performer of the Year award.
