Hina Khan: I have really worked hard and have broken quite a few stereotypes
Hina Khan is seen as Komolika in Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay. In an interview with a leading daily, the actress shared how she broke her bahu image.
Hina Khan made her television debut in 2009 with the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She played the lead role of Akshara, a sweet, caring yet a strong woman. As Akshara, Hina won hearts and people admired her for her performance and on screen character. The actress quit the show in 2016, but still, many people remember her as Akshara from YRKKH.
After Yeh Rishta, Hina took part in two reality shows - Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss 11. She came out as the first runner up on both the reality shows. Now, the actress is back to fiction with Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She plays the negative role of Komolika in it. As Komolika, Hina Khan has so far impressed the audience.
In an interview with Indian Express, Hina Khan spoke about taking up different projects and when asked if she took the role of Komolika to break her bahu image, she answered, "I did that already (laughs). But as an actor, it was a great opportunity to prove my versatility. I should be able to do any character. That’s the fun part of the challenge. I must say I have really worked hard and have broken quite a few stereotypes. And I can promise that the next character that I play will be a positive one."
Hina recently confirmed that she will be playing a lead role in Ekta Kapoor's another show. Nothing has been revealed about this new project yet.
