Karan Patel is one of the most sought after actors in the Indian television industry. From being a boy next door to the angry young man and now an ideal husband, Karan has certainly come a long way in both personal and professional life. It’s been over 15 years since he stepped into the industry and has been enjoying a massive fan following ever since. But the biggest breakthrough of his life came after he was roped in for Ekta Kapoor’s Yeh Hai Mohabbaitein for the role of Raman Bhalla opposite Divyanka Tripathi.

Needless to say, Karan nailed it with his performance and we have been in awe of his onscreen charisma. Besides, the dashing actor’s sizzling chemistry with Divyanka has been well received by the audience and the duo turned out to be one of the most adored onscreen couples of the television industry. 1. Karan Patel learnt acting from the Kishore Namit Patel Acting Institute and later honed his acting chops at the University of Arts in London. He made his television screen debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii in 2003 but got his shot to fame with Star Plus show Kasturi wherein he played the lead role.

2. Karan has participated in several reality shows across genres. These include Nach Baliye season 3, Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket, Survivor India, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, Box Cricket League 1, Box Cricket League 2 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 10.

3. The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein star also made his big Bollywood debut with Mahesh Manjrekar directorial City of Gold in 2010. He also played a supporting role in John Abraham starrer Shootout at Wadala.

4. Karan Patel is an ardent fan of Shah Rukh Khan and often stated that he idolises the superstar. Interestingly, KP is often referred to has SRK of Television industry and the title does give him wings to fly. In fact, his Instagram handle is filled with collages of his pictures with SRK’s pics. Talking about his love for SRK, Karan once stated, “I am a devotee of Shah Rukh Khan. He is God for me.”
