1. Karan Patel learnt acting from the Kishore Namit Patel Acting Institute and later honed his acting chops at the University of Arts in London. He made his television screen debut with Ekta Kapoor’s Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii in 2003 but got his shot to fame with Star Plus show Kasturi wherein he played the lead role.
2. Karan has participated in several reality shows across genres. These include Nach Baliye season 3, Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket, Survivor India, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, Box Cricket League 1, Box Cricket League 2 and Khatron Ke Khiladi 10.
3. The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein star also made his big Bollywood debut with Mahesh Manjrekar directorial City of Gold in 2010. He also played a supporting role in John Abraham starrer Shootout at Wadala.

4. Karan Patel is an ardent fan of Shah Rukh Khan and often stated that he idolises the superstar. Talking about his love for SRK, Karan once stated, “I am a devotee of Shah Rukh Khan. He is God for me.”
