EXCLUSIVE: YRKKH's Mohsin Khan RECOUNTS watching Dilip Saab's Devdas before doing drunk sequences
Mohsin Khan, in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, revealed that Dilip Saab's Devdas is what he watched a number of times to get his drunk sequences right in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will soon be completing 11 years of the telecast. Mohsin Khan, who plays the role of Kartik on the show, is a huge fan of Dilip Kumar's work and shares a number of pictures of the veteran actor on his social media. Now, as Dilip Kumar celebrates his birthday today, we understood the profound respect the actor harbours for Dilip Saab. In an exclusive chat, Mohsin revealed that he follows Dilip ji's work and used to watch his drunk scenes in Devdas to get his scenes right.
While revealing the scenes he loves doing, Mohsin shared, "I like a lot of Kaira scenes. I really like the old confession scene where during Navratri, Kartik accepts his mistakes and there is a blast. It is one of our favourites. Then, of course, the drunk sequences, I have seen Dilip Saab's Devdas so many times to get that right. The energy to break all the glasses (for the scene) came from there. But that is what I do. If there is a sequence which is sad, we make sure to only see very sad films, sad songs, and read sad novels. From morning to night, I try to be in the same zone. But sadly, it is difficult to come out of that zone for me."

Not just that, he added, "If there is a romantic scene, I try to watch all romantic scene, romantic songs and more so that we are in that zone throughout, even in breaks and otherwise. I do all my homework but at the same time, I keep a lot of scope for improvisation. Thank god, all our directors give us space to do it."
