EXCLUSIVE: Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka 2's Aneri Vajani REACTS to flak received by Drashti Dhami as Nandini

Drashti Dhami, Shakti Arora, and Additi Verma's Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka is all set to go off-air soon. But, the lovers of the show have nothing to feel sad about as the show will come back with a second season with Kunal Jaisingh, Aneri Vajani and Tejaswi Prakash in lead roles. As Drashti left the show midway, the show shifted focus to her kids Pari and Mishty and their bond with Mauli (Additi) and Kunal (Shakti). The second season will now revolve around the lives of Nandini and Mauli's kids and Aneri plays the role of Pari, Nandini's offspring.

Speaking exclusively to Pinkvilla, the actress opened up about her role and if she had any apprehension about being a part of a show which highlights extra-marital affairs given that Drashti and Shakti, in particular, faced a lot of flak earlier for their roles. She also opened up about working with Kunal and Tejaswi for the show. About her role, Aneri said, "Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka 2 takes a leap to the next generation and I play the character of Pari who is Nandini's daughter. She is a simple, down to earth girl, who holds high respect and regard for her family and dotes on her elder sister Mishti. There’s a certain spark to her personality and though grounded in values she tends to be commitment phobic, leading her to keep her guard up and not letting anyone new into her world so easy. That's all I’m spilling for now. You will have to tune in, to really get to know her".

Given that Drashti faced a lot of flak for playing Nandini, we asked Aneri if she felt apprehensive about taking up the project. To this, the actress added, "I don't see why honestly! It’s sad that the more real content you put out, the more flak you get. Matter of fact is that extra-marital affairs are a reality. Turning a blind eye or bashing it doesn't make it go away. No one is promoting it in any way, but sometimes turning attention towards it is just as important. Everyone makes mistakes, each one's circumstances are different as in why they do it and what they go through is also unique to each of them. As characters, we simply play our parts and Drashti did so commendably. What you take from it and make of it, that’s on you."

Bang on, Aneri. The actress also claimed to have watched the first season. When asked about working with Kunal and Tejaswi, the Beyhadh actor concluded, "For someone who hasn't been in the industry for long, I am definitely looking forward to sharing screen space with Tejaswi and Kunal. Though I've known Kunal for quite some time now, it’ll be great to see what each of us brings to our characters. What chemistry pans out through it and where that takes the show".
