EXCLUSIVE: Rubina Dilaik: I am feeling the wedding preparations jitters; Abhinav is taking the responsibility

Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla are all set to have a June wedding this year. The duo will be tying the knot on June 21, 2018, in Shimla and will then head to Ludhiana (Abhinav's hometown) to complete the post-wedding rituals.

The beautiful bride-to-be in an exclusive chat with us revealed that she always wanted a June wedding and is quite ecstatic about it. "I always wanted to have a June wedding, because I like the feel of the day during that time. I am like that day-wedding bride," Rubina said while adding, "Also, because we had this idea of celebrating our biggest day amidst mountains and nature, and exchange our vows in an open space amidst nature, we thought Shimla would be the best place."

He added, "Our wedding date is now final. We will be having a Hindu traditional wedding. We do not believe in a lavish/extragavant affair and hence, exchanging our vows in a sacred way is what we want as our ritual. The traditional aspect of the wedding would be the pheras, the rest will be just celebration with just friends and family, first in Shimla, then in Ludhiana and then in Mumbai.

After dating Abhinav for over 5 years, the duo will be exchanging the vows finally. So is she feeling the jitters or worried about what the next phase has in store for them. To this, she said, "For me, any commitment that I make towards a relationship is wholehearted. I commit to my partner in my heart first. For me, love for someone transcends into eternity and that is how I am.. being with Abhinav during the phase of dating and now that we are taking a step forward in our relationship, my stance for being with him till we grow old is going to remain same. I have chosen to be with him and I don't think things like dating or marriage can change my commitment towards being with him."

Has she begun preparing for the wedding since it is just two months away? Rubina laughed at this and said, "I will be very honest, I have the jitters for the preparations."

She further continued, "I have an ongoing show (Shakti Asthitva Ke Ehsaas Ki) and have the responsibility of it. It has become very difficult (to find time for preparations) as the big day is nearing. I have not even decided what colour outfit will I wear. I am yet to begin preparations for the day."

"As far as my leaves are concerned, I will take wherever possible. I will make use of phone and technology to zero in on the preparations because I have to manage my show too. So the excitement and enthusiasm of shopping for the wedding, I think I will be missing out on that," she stressed, however, "Nonetheless, I am grateful that I am working and my partner is taking the responsibility of running around. He (Abhinav) has asked me to focus on my work and that gives me even more joy of being with him and celebrating the marriage because we hold each other securely."

Further, when asked about her honeymoon plans, Rubina added, "I don't have the luxury of having my wedding and then my honeymoon back to back. I will keep that for the other part of the celebration."
