EXCLUSIVE: Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya's Rohit Suchanti on Vikas Gupta: I don't understand the unwanted attention on his sexuality
Rohit Suchanti opens up on Vikas Gupta and Priyank Sharma's stint in the Bigg Boss 11 house.
Rohit Suchanti is currently essaying the role of Ratan Singh in Sony Tv's Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya. It has just been a week since the show has aired and Rohit is already garnering some good reviews.
But, did you know Rohit is also a great friend of Bigg Boss 11 contestant Vikas Gupta and Priyank Sharma?
Well, speaking of it, when we asked Rohit what does he think about Vikas's stint on the show, Rohit said, "The way they [other contestants] are behaving with Vikas Gupta or were behaving with him, I am enjoying it because no one else is making any noise in the house except for Vikas, Hina Khan and Bhabiji Shilpa Shinde. Moreover, Vikas's strength is his mouth so he has made sure to dominate the episodes which is a big thing as the show's format is like that. You can say positive or negative things about him but he is real, in fact, one of the best contestants."
Given that Vikas's sexuality had been the most talked about topic on the show, we asked Rohit if as a friend it made him cringe. To this, the actor said, "Toh kya hota hai? sexuality se kya matlab hai? There are many gays, lesbians roaming around, what is wrong with that? Look abroad, people from LGBT community are getting married. Where are we? It has become so normal now, what is a big deal about it?"
He further added, "The buzz around it is unwanted. Initially, I could understand that in India talking about one's sexuality was a taboo, even Salman rapped them but even then people aren't understanding. They are doing it all for publicity."
When asked who according to him is playing good apart from Vikas, Rohit added, "Shilpa Shinde after Vikas. She is entertaining. I don't know her personally and I don't have the intent to but she is playing well. In fact, even Priyank is my good friend but I am not liking the way he is playing so I wouldn't want to comment on him."
