Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna's Ishqbaaaz completed two years on June 27, 2018. Both Nakuul and Surbhi make for one of the hottest onscreen couples on the Indian Television with their fans shipping them as Shivika (their character names).
On the 2nd anniversary of the show, Pinkvilla EXCLUSIVELY caught up with Nakuul and Surbhi for a quick interaction. While reminiscing the two years journey, Nakuul said, "I think it is incredible. In a lot of ways, all of us have grown and evolved in the last two years. I think we have been able to give some good entertainment and that I feel proud of."
Agreeing to Nakuul, Surbhi added, "We have done so much on the show, with the social issues last and now playing entirely different characters with the same people and names. Who gets to do so much on a show?"
Both Nakuul and Surbhi further quipped that their audience is usually on steroids. "This show is slightly more on steroids. We are always up to saving the world and changing things. This also gives us the scope to be larger than life but that also means we have no other life."
"We have got this entire audience base which is fully on steroids. But it is great, we wouldn't have it any other way," the duo added.
Nakuul further said that while the fans leave no stone unturned to shower them with love, he does understand that sometimes they are left disappointed. "I think sometimes the audiences get emotional and we get a lot of flak too but I like that because it makes me feel that they are so connected to the show. They are like why aren't you getting the boy and the girl together, why isn't Shivika together?" He also asked the audience to feel free to express their queries.
Not just that, the awesome duo also revealed if they think anyone else apart from them can ever step into the shoes of playing Shivaay and Annika aka Shivika. The duo further played the 'Never Have I Ever' segment with us which was nothing short of a laughter riot.
