EXCLUSIVE: Naagin 4 actor Nia Sharma says, ‘Won’t lie, used to laugh with Surbhi, Adaa about trolls’
Nia Sharma opens up on trolls related to Naagin. She will be seen in Naagin 4 alongside Jasmin Bhasin. Read the exclusive quote.
Naagin 4 will see Nia Sharma along with Jasmin Bhasin for the first time. The supernatural show will be kickstarting from December 14, 2019. The show produced by Ekta Kapoor will also see Sayantani Ghosh in a pivotal role. Nia will be seen playing Brinda on the show and she shared her excitement with Pinkvilla saying, “I am not playing Naagin. I am back to playing a vulnerable suit salwar clad girl, of a small town. The character Brinda is simple. Before that, I have played stylist characters, but this is rather different.”
Naagin is usually trolled and receives a lot of flak for poor VFX and compared to international shows. When asked Nia about the same, she added, “Honestly, Naagin is a brand today. Kudos to Ekta Kapoor and the last three seasons which has done so well. Mouni Roy nailed it. For me, it is a brand.” About trolls, she laughed off, “Now coming to trolls, I wouldn’t lie that I didn’t laugh at Surbhi Jyoti, Adaa Khan or anyone and tell them and they used to laugh as well. So where will you find a job where you can laughing so much, enjoying it and come back home. I understand the repercussions, I understand it get funny at times, but if it gets TRPs and other makers are following suit then why not?”

Naagin 3 was a huge success. Nia’s first look for the show is extremely simple and traditional and we cannot wait to see how people respond to the show. When we had asked Jasmin on her thoughts about working with Nia, she said that she wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. “I know Nia socially and I connect with her vibe. So, I am actually very happy that it is her alongside me. We are the new age girls and we share a lot in common.”
