EXCLUSIVE: Madhurima Tuli on equation with ex Aditya Singh, Salman Khan's association with the show and more
Before seeing her on the television screens with baliye Vishal Aditya Singh, we finally got in touch with Madhurimal Tuli where she spoke about the show, Salman Khan being an important part of her saying yes, and more.
Nach Baliye 9's first episode premiered tonight and while we were given the first few couples who will be a part of this season, we are yet to see the entire list and well, that is for day 2 of the first week this season. While we got an insight into the jodis of Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary, Shraddha Arya and Alam Singh, Vindu Dara Singh and Dina Umrova, Urvashi Dholakia and Anuj Sachdeva, and Babita Phogat and Vivek Suhag, we are yet to see the others. And before seeing her on the television screens with baliye Vishal Aditya Singh, we finally got in touch with Madhurimal Tuli where she spoke about the show, Salman Khan being an important part of her saying yes, and more.
Ask her about her thought process about making the decision, she said, "It was actually shocking honestly since Nach Baliye is all about lovey dovey stuff and everything and this concept was shocking. But then it is a concept and I think what they are doing is the hatred between the exes, they are trying to solve that with dance. So it was a great opportunity as I have always wanted to do Nach Baliye but I wanted to do it with my Baliye and the last time I was offered I could not do it because I did not have a Baliye and this time also I don't have a Baliye (laughs) but it has come as an ex. I always wanted to do it with my Baliye, the one I love but I am doing it with my ex, someone I once loved so it is also cool."
Salman Khan will be helming the show this season, and she says it was one of the reasons why she said yes to the show. Madhurima says, "That was one of the most important reasons I said a yes because as an ex, when you will go, you will definitely have friction and all that but keeping that aside, as a professional, it is a big opportunity because Salman Khan is involved in it he is going to make sure that this becomes a huge success. And, Nach Baliye in itself is a huge brand so it is worth it. I felt I am in good hands and there is nothing I have to be worried about, also, nothing is going to be vulgar or cheap."

Talking about how there is going to be a lot of questions and the episode where she recently got into a fight with Vishal on sets, the actress says, "Honestly, there haven't been any questions but I would like to give an explanation about the breakup because it was just not working out with us and we mutually decided to do this, and yes it is difficult because some friction is obviously going to take place and fights are going to happen since that is how it is. However, I think that is something which is very normal because I think everyone has their ups and downs and that is something people will relate to and if you have to move on, professionally grow in live forgetting your ego and clashes and keep working hard, and think about winning the competition rather than getting involved in such controversies."
This season is a mix of real-life couples and ex-couples coming together, which of course is a new concept but overshadows the original ideology of the show, and more so, might affect the chemistry that ex-couples show. Talking about that, Madhurima says "They are taking a risk I would say because bringing exes together and bringing the same emotions together, it does really affect that, but it differs from person to person also like as an actor if you want to grow, even if you want to grow as a person, I think it is a test for you to bear all the consequences and move on, leaving it up to the audiences whether or not they will take it or not. I think everybody goes through the phase where they don't want to see their exes, so I think this will also make them feel how you have loved that person in your life at some point of time and you can be cordial, or at least share a smile when you see each other."
Since they have been spending time together during their practice, ask her if there was a moment or moments when she felt like leaving it all in the past, she says, "Well, we started off like that only, thinking now that we are doing it, we might as well give our 100 percent and try to win the show because that is why we are in it but while rehearsing we have some issues and everything so that became difficult to handle to move forward, but once you come back home, you think to yourself why create so much nuisance and might as well forget whatever happened and do your job and come back home.
