Television actor Krystle D'Souza has come out in support of the MeToo movement which has been creating a wave on social media. The movement that hit West, has now finally reached India with many women coming out to name and shame the predators. Names of Bollywood celebs like Alok Nath, Rajat Kapoor, Subhash Ghai, Subhash Kapoor, Piyush Mishra, among others have come to light. While many have tendered their apology on social media, others have vehemently denied it taking the legal route.
Krystle, who was last seen in the show Belan Wali Bahu, in a candid chat with PINKVILLA on the sidelines of her fashion show, said, "I think it is high time that women stand up for themselves and say things as it is because that is also important. The MeToo movement is great when it is all facts and truth. I think every case needs to be looked into and investigated, to know who is saying the truth and who is lying because people might misuse it as well. Once evidence is found, these men who have been harassing these women need to be punished and this should not be overlooked. This is serious, I am totally in support of all of it who are speaking up."
Coming to Television, when asked her favourite genre, she revealed, "Acting wise, of course, romantic-comedy... that is something I really look forward to but other than that I am really enjoying this fashionista side right now."
When will she be returning with a rom-com on TV? To this, Krystle stated, "You know, I had promised myself I won't do one kind of a character, so I did a behna show, a saas bahu show, a romantic show, a supernatural show, a comedy show, so I am taking a little break because I feel that is so important. It is a breather for me and also for someone who is watching me."
Would you be up to feature in a web show? To this, she said, "I think I am totally game for doing a web show because it is the future, everyone is going to watch everything on the go, on the walk and creatively too I think it is more satisfying because you don't have many restrictions like you do shoot for a TV show. I am looking out to doing a web show. Let's see." What do you watch on Indian Television? Krystle added, "I don't watch Indian Television that much but if I ever watch it is Weekend Ka Vaar With Salman Khan because he is hilarious, he is so laid back and so fun and the way he questions the inmates is superb. He is so witty and I love Salman Khan."
