Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes walked in together with a big task of playing Prerna and Anurag in September 2018 with Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The show managed to grab a lot of eyeballs initially due to the nostalgia attached to it, but slowly Parth and Erica managed to create their own place amid all the comparisons. The two bagged the Best Jodi Award recently at the Indian Telly Awards 2019 and were all hearts at the red carpet. In a quick red carpet rendezvous with Pinkvilla, Erica and Parth opened up about how people have gradually accepted them as a couple on-screen.
Reiterating that despite all the comparisons, the duo has been able to stand out, Parth and Erica said, "It wasn't expected for us because I had said this that I found our pair to be very odd earlier, being Anurag and Prerna and doing something which was in people's mind was a task for us. We kind of made our own identity with Prerna and Anurag and people actually registered it, liked it and loved it eventually. That was the path-breaking moment for us."
"This (Awards) is proof that we are on the right track and that we are being appreciated all over the world. We get messages from all over the world and that is a good feeling," the duo added. When asked about their camaraderie off-screen, the two said that they all are like one family on sets and would like to remain one.
