EXCLUSIVE - Juhi Parmar on Kumkum co-star Rita Bhaduri: I will never be able to forget her
Veteran actress Rita Bhaduri's death has left a void in people. The actress has been a part of several shows including Kumkum, where she worked with Juhi Parmar for many years.
Veteran actress Rita Bhaduri passed away this morning due to a kidney ailment. She was 62 and has been a part of several hit shows including Kumkum, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and the latest being Nimki Mukhiya.
In Kumkum, she played the role of Dadi and shared screen space with Juhi Parmar for several years. We got in touch with Juhi after hearing about the sad demise of Rita Ji. Juhi was emotional while speaking to us and she said, "I was not in the state after hearing the news."
She also spoke about knowing Rita Ji's ill-health stating, "Actually, the past couple of days, she wasn't well and unfortunately we did not know about it. We just got to know last evening, we as in the whole Kumkum family I am talking about. We got to know about her being in the hospital. I was not in town and I am still not in town. I thought I will come back and the first thing I will do is go and see her. I was so not prepared for the news this morning."
Sharing an anecdote while working with the late actor in Kumkum, Juhi said, "I will remember several things about her; used to call her Rita Ma. She was full of love and used to get food for the whole unit. She has pampered me a lot. I will never be able to forget Rita Ma and will never be able to come to terms that she is not there."
She also added, "For me, Kumkum will be my all-time favourite because I got to know her from the show. We became so close and she loved me so much. She used to get food for me so that I don't worry about eating after pack-up."
