EXCLUSIVE: Himesh Reshammiya on Secret Superstar: I told Aamir Khan that this is the best film of the year
Himesh Reshammiya talks about music, kids, and reality shows.
Voice Kids India season 2 is here and on the judge's panel we have none other than the talented Himesh Reshammiya along with the charming Shaan. Himesh was last seen judging Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs and the season just had its grand finale last week. And now already without wasting any time Himesh Reshammiya is all prepped for his next singing reality show as a judge and that's Voice Kids India season 2.
Regarding the same, we at Pinkvilla exclusively got in touch with Himesh Reshammiya and spoke to him about reality shows, kids of today and also everybody's recent favorite film Secret Super Star.
When we asked him about Voice Kids India season 2 he said, "Voice Kids is very special to me, I was judging Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs too and it's altogether a different feeling to be surrounded by kids and I really relived my childhood on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and now I am very excited to judge Voice kids 2."
He further added, "Kids today are so talented and well informed, I too got launched by Salman Bhai in Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega when I was 14-15 and I thought of myself to be very talented but now when I see kids who are 7 years, 10 years and they sing so well and are so talented I just feel good and they have complete knowledge about singing and it's nice to see kids perform so well. The best part about kids today is that they are very receptive and open to learning."
As we all know that through such platforms, kids from all over the country are able to explore and portray their talent in front of the world, but one question that often crosses our mind is that are the show makers able to reach out to those kids who have no opportunity to even make it to the auditions. To this Himesh very calmly explained that, "See the world today is digitalized and everybody who is interested in music or any anything knows that it's very easy to connect to anyone online for auditions or anything, we try our best to reach out to as many kids as possible and through Voice Kids and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs we bring in a lot of talent."
He further stated "I am personally going to be launching a few kids from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs and also from Voice Kids very soon. I have already launched quite a few contestants from the earlier seasons I hosted and all their songs are doing very well."
While chit-chatting about music how could we not ask Himesh about a recent film based entirely on music and that is Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar, we asked Himesh about his views on the film and he just couldn't stop praising the film and said, "Yes when Aamir Sir called me for the trial I saw the film and I absolutely loved it and I told him that this is the best film of the year and I also told him (Aamir Khan) that this is probably the best project he has been a part of and the world of music is so beautifully shown by the girl (Zaira Wasim) and the mother in the film. I just loved the film a lot and according to me, it's one of the best films I have ever seen."
Well, we all loved the film and are looking forward to seeing the talented kids being mentored by Himesh Reshammiya.
