EXCLUSIVE: Farah Khan on Lip Sing Battle: Shah Rukh Khan was gung-ho, wanted to do Chaiyya Chaiyya while I kept telling him to go
Farah Khan says that she is happy that her show Lip Sing Battle got the great response from the audience.
Farah Khan's Lip Sing Battle saw a range of top Bollywood and TV stars making an appearance. From Shah Rukh Khan to Katrina Kaif, all the top stars made a special appearance on the show enthralling people with their crazy side.
Ask Farah if she is happy with the response the show garnered and the filmmaker says, "I was happy with the concept as it was great but I was only apprehensive that whether the stars will do the crazy things that we ask them to because otherwise there is no show, it will be an award function where people come, take money and dance."
She further added, "In this show, they are not coming to promote any movie, no promotions, they are not getting paid and moreover. they have to come and rehearse. However, everybody came with so much enthusiasm and everybody wanted to top. So, that was nice to see that they had the competitive and also the sportsman spirit. Whenever everyone came they all wanted to be better than other."
When asked about Shah Rukh Khan's special appearance, Farah excitedly said, "He was lovely. He did not want to go while we were like he has to go back to shoot. I was like 'abhi itna hi kar aur ja' but he wanted to do more. He was like I will do Chaiyya Chaiyya also, I will do this also.. He was not going and I was telling him to go back to the shoot. So, once he comes he was gung-ho. It was very sweet of him to leave his shoot and come for this."
Along with this, earlier this year, Farah completed 25 years in the industry. Speaking about it, Farah said, "For me to describe my 25 years in a nutshell, it will have to be a very big nut but it feels that I just entered 5 years ago. Everything has gone on a super speed. For me, most importantly I have made some really great friends and I have garnered some goodwill in the industry which shows when I do a show like Lip Sing Battle where everyone comes out of love and affection. Hits and flops will come in everyone's life but to get the goodwill of your peers and to have friendships that have lasted for so long are more important."
