EXCLUSIVE: Birthday boy Sharad Kelkar: I can say with pride to my daughter that I was part of Baahubali
Sharad Kelkar says he is extremely proud of being a part of SS Rajamouli's magnum opus Baahubali.
Sharad Kelkar has been making the industry proud with his versatile choice. From TV to films, his journey has been one of a kind. Sharad is one of the actors who has been able to find his foot on the big screens without falling prey to stereotypes. Sharad turns a year older today.
The actor, who was also the voice behind Prabhas in the Hindi dubbed version of Baahubali in an interview to us said that he is extremely proud of being a part of the movie.
"For me, when this offer came to me, my only motive was to work with Rajamouli Sir because I am his great fan. When I saw the film before dubbing it, I thought it is going to be a big film but not to the extent it is today," Sharad said.
He further added that not many knew that he had dubbed for the movie when the first part released but the kind of recognition he got for the second part was humungous.

"For part one, I got to dub with him so it was such a great experience. After the first part released, hardly people knew that I dubbed for it, they used to get shocked. But after the second part, people recognised that I dubbed for it. Everywhere I went people asked me why did Katappa kill Baahubali? and I was like I cant tell you.. it is a matter of pride for me. When my daughter starts understanding cinema, I can say with great pride that I was a part of Baahubali," he concluded.
Here's wishing Sharad, a very Happy Birthday!
