EXCLUSIVE: Bepannaah- Jennifer Winget REVEALS all the details of her character, Zoya
Here is all that you need to know about Jennifer Winget's character in Bepannaah.
Jennifer Winget is back with a bang with her upcoming show Bepannaah where she will be seen opposite Harshad Chopra and Sehban Azim. The promo of the show has already released and it has already created a frenzy amongst Jennifer fans.
Even as the on-air date of the show is yet to be known, we had reported that Jennifer begins shooting for the show on December 1, 2017. Days before that we got in touch with Jennifer to know some deets about her characters from Bepannaah.
Speaking about doing Bepannaah, Jennifer said, "Moving on from Maya on Beyhadh, which has been, by far one of the most benchmark performances in my career as an actor, Bepannaah has been created as very different from it. Get prepared for a very unique and interesting love story about second chances, about the breaking of society’s perceptions and judgements. We don’t really have intense love stories nowadays on TV and with Bepannaah that is what we’re trying to do. It’s high on emotions and will be a show that anyone in love, both young and old, will relate to."
She further added, "The script was too gripping to put down and will bring you unfamiliar, non-cliched and real sides to a love story that will keep you hooked to the storyline. All I can say is that it only gets better as it unfolds."
Spilling the beans about her character on the show, Jennifer revealed, "I play Zoya, a warm and sombre, cultured yet progressive Muslim woman who’s had the best life, a great upbringing and a blissful life with her husband. A certain incident changes all that for her and brings her to realise her strengths and weaknesses."
Going further, she revealed her character's look on the show and said, "Zoya’s look and character mood are styled by a close friend of mine, stylist, Amrita Chavan. The silhouettes will be very dreamy and flowy, predominantly in pastel tones, accessorised with Bohemian accents now and then."
This will be Jennifer's first show for Colors. Speaking about it, Jennifer said, "Bepannaah is close to heart more so as I will be working with my very dear friend, ace director, Aniruddha Rajderkar who conceived Bepannaah from scratch to finish. Aniruddha and I go way back, he also directed Dil Mill Gaye. To work with Cinevista yet again is just an added plus and the cherry on my cake. Bepannaah will also be my first venture with and entry into Colors as a channel and I am super excited about this journey. It was about time!"
"Needless to mention my homework and prep for the character has begun full swing and I'm set to take this one a notch higher than the previous. Its upward and onward here on! Can't wait," Jennifer concluded.
